I'm hoping they get a woman editor in there - it's been ages, and after all, their golden age was under a female editor, or maybe they don't remember? A woman, Or Ilya Kaminsky. I'll take either.

I'm sure they'll hire Sauron, but I would just jump with joy if it were Ilya K or someone else (a female would of course be nice in such a high-profile position) with good taste. Good taste as I define it, of course. Someone who can show an friendship to a wide range of aesthetic positions.

Don Share has good taste. I hope he is staying on. The vibe I'm feeling seems like that could maybe be in question.

I thought Don was retiring first, actually? I wonder what's going on there. Maybe a shakeup at the board?

Could be. I don't know. He's never come right out and said it, that I can find.

But Barr out and Wiman out does get one thinking something larger might be going on.
